1.1km of comprehensive drainage and resurfacing works on one of East Devon's key A-roads, delivered under night closures.
Between 16 June and 5 July, our team delivered an extensive programme of drainage and surfacing works along a 1.1km section of the A3052, one of East Devon's key and consistently busy A-roads.
The works were carried out at night under a full road closure. Careful planning and efficient traffic management were essential to keep disruption to a minimum while maintaining a safe working environment.

The project required a combination of structural repairs, surface reconstruction, and drainage improvements.
Extensive drainage works throughout the full length of the scheme
Cross-drain installations and targeted drain relining repairs by specialist contractors to improve water flow and reduce future surface damage
Grip digging to enhance verge drainage and prevent water accumulation on the carriageway
Base patching in weakened areas ahead of surfacing
Surface course laid throughout the entirety of the site, resulting in a smooth, durable surface
New and replacement road signs to update and improve route safety along with road markings
Hedge trimming to maintain visibility and compliance with highway standards
“Devon County Council expressed full satisfaction with both the quality of work and the way the site was managed throughout.”
The improved drainage and resurfaced carriageway have already enhanced the resilience and safety of this section of the A3052.
